Intro into Czech cuisine...diet farewell

My previous post inspired me to give you some brief intro into Czech cuisine. Particularly I wanna talk about an extremely popular dish called pickled Camembert (cheese) aka nakládaný hermelín in Czech language. Honestly, "nakládaný hermelín" is a word to remember. Besides "cheers"  (na zdraví) and "help" (pomoc!), this word may come in handy when you get lost in restaurant/pub menu.

Nakládaný hermelín is a perfect option for vegetarians and beer drinkers (omg, beer again..it is almost like my posts signature). This kind of cheese is really very popular and typical Czech pub dish. Small dish, perfect with your beer.

So if you wonder what to order - something typical Czech and     don´t want to spend too much money either, try this out!

Nakládaný hermelín sample - how presented on Wikipedia!
What is it?
Nakládaný hermelín = sort of Camembert style cheese. Sliced in the middle, spiced inside, filled with garlic pasta and onions, then put into jar with oil and peppers. Kept inside at minimum 3 days (don´t be afraid to ask server how long it is pickled). Served with (hopefully) fresh bread.

What to expect
Quite strong taste, intensive. You have to put up with fact that you break all your diet rules.

What not to expect
French style Camembert, french fine dining. This is a typical small pub meal. But good:)
